All speakers must adhere to guidelines and complete financial disclosures in order to award credit.

Events are committed to upholding Standards for Integrity and Independence as defined by the accreditation council.

Registration Instructions

For All Presenters

Body

To fulfill credit requirements for live activities, please adhere to the following:

  • Review the Content Validity Informational Guide (PDF)
  • Any financial relationships with ineligible companies which are related to the content of your presentation must be disclosed to the audience at the start
  • Presentations must be balanced and free of commercial bias
    • Multiple therapies should be mentioned
  • Recommendations for patient care must be based on current evidence and clinical reasoning while giving a fair and balanced view of diagnostic and therapeutic options
    • We encourage including a list of references
  • Any scientific research used in support or justification of a patient care recommendation must conform to generally accepted standards of experimental design, data collection, analysis and interpretation
  • If discussing a new and evolving topic, these areas need to be clearly identified. You may not advocate for or promote practices that are not, or not yet adequately based on current science, evidence and clinical reasoning
  • Content cannot be included if it advocates for unscientific approaches to diagnosis, therapy, or if it promotes treatment or manners of practicing healthcare that are determined to have risks that outweigh the benefits or are known to be ineffective patient care
  • Generic names should be used when referring to a specific drug
  • Any unlabeled use of a commercial product should be clearly stated to the audience
  • Educational guides including slides, abstracts and handouts may not contain any advertising, trade name or product group messaging
  • for HIPAA compliance please remove any patient identifiers
  • Review your content to avoid shaming, stereotyping or otherwise demonstrating biased language

To complete your registration requirements, please login to MyCredits and complete the following:

  • Financial Disclosure Form
  • Speaker Form
  • Upload presentation materials

Please upload your PowerPoint presentation to MyCredits no later than 2 weeks prior to the conference. 

To upload, login to MyCredits and select the ‘Dashboard’ on the upper left corner. From the 'Speaker/Coordinator Center', select the title of the conference. Once within your conference, click on ‘Speaking Assignments’. The upload link is below the presentation title.

If you are using a reprint of an article other than your own, please indicate that reprint permission has been obtained.
