BIO

Shane Rogers is the Outreach and Narrative Lead at the Institute for Agroecology where he is working to build equitable and inclusive food systems through effective narrative building, collective action and strategic communications.

Prior to joining IFA, Shane worked for Food Solutions New England, the New England Grassroots Environment Fund, the Vermont Farm to Plate Network, which is part of Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund, and Green Mountain Farm-to-School. Throughout his career he has worked to center stories and narratives grounded in community, bottom-up organizing and has advocated for a collective approach to communications and programming that is grounded in the voices of those most impacted by the issues at hand.

Outside of IFA, Shane is the organizer and host of the Vermont Wild Kitchen as well as a community organizer, curler, gardener, and more.
