Food System Communicators Community of Practice

The Food System Communicators COP is for communications or communications-adjacent folks working in the food system and beyond who are striving to build a just, equitable, and resilient future.

Whether new to communications or an old hand, in the public or private sector, working in a different field or on another issue altogether and just curious to learn more, this group is probably for everyone.

What does the Food System Communicators Community of Practice offer?

Communities of practice are groups of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do and come together to learn how to do it better. To that end, this COP organizes:

A Listserv and Facebook GroupVirtual Monthly FoodComms CafesEmergent Spaces and Organizing Projects
Through these online spaces, folks are encouraged to share interesting stories and resources, ask for advice and suggestions, and organize with each other on projects and narratives.Held the last Friday of each month, the FoodComms Cafe gathers folks to meet one another, spark connections, and discuss and share around a communal topic or issue of the month.Members of the COP are encouraged to organize with one another and use the COP as a resource for advancing one's work collectively and making connections with others sharing similar goals.
