One of the primary ways the Humanities Center serves campus is as a research funding hub. We offer a variety of research grants, awards, and opportunities for faculty at all ranks and career stages, across humanities, arts, and humanistic social sciences at the University.
The Center offers a wide range of grants and awards for research at all stages of development. These include grants that support individual or co-led research like the Kahn Research Award, Summer Research Award, Public Humanities Fellowship, Publication Subvention Fund, Undergraduate Research Assistantship, and range in level of support from $1,000-$25,000.
The Humanities Center also offers opportunities for funding research-based workshops, conferences, symposia, and other events or exhibitions. These include the Coor Project Award, Coor Working Groups, Coor Programming Grants.
The Center offers travel funds for research-related travel, which includes travel to and from research sites but also conferences, workshops, or collaborations with New England Humanities Consortium (NEHC) partners. These include the Humanities Center Travel Grant and NEHC Travel Fund.
