Lattie F. Coor Working Group

Lattie F. Coor Working Groups are opportunities for faculty collaboration around a theme of their design, choosing, and research interest. The Humanities Center sponsors up to three Coor Working Groups at one time. Working Groups may include postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students, but prioritize faculty-led investigation.

Working Group funds are set aside for meetings, materials, and guest expenses incurred for the activities chosen by the group itself. These funds are not to be used to co-sponsor events originating in or primarily hosted by other UVM units (eg. Departments, Centers, Lab groups). Coor Working Group funds are up to $10,000 per year.

Coor Working Groups may be renewed annually for up to three years. We encourage Coor Working Groups to have open meetings, rather than closed membership.

Eligible applicants include faculty at all ranks of all UVM departments conducting research with a significant humanities component. Priority will be given to faculty in the humanities and arts.
