BIO

Ande Tagliamonte is the Assistant Director for the UVM Humanities Center. She earned her BA in Art History from the University of Vermont and her M.Ed. with a concentration in the arts from Saint Michael’s College. As an educator, Ande spent thirteen years working in Vermont public schools. She created, developed, and taught job development skills for eight years at the high school level and spent five years teaching visual art and STEAM at the elementary and middle level. Outside of her work for the Humanities Center, Ande is a working textile artist. Her work and community education classes primarily focus on using visible mending techniques to extend the life of well-loved clothing, accessories, and household linens.
