Biography
LORRAINE L. JANUS is currently Chief of the Division of Watershed Water Quality Science and Research for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP), the agency responsible for the New York City water supply. She is a limnologist with more than thirty years experience in water resources management and has worked for the NYCDEP since 1990. Her current work is focused on the analysis of water quality data to guide programs and policies to protect public health and the NYC watershed, and to maintain NYC’s unfiltered status.
