Project Overview
Collection of data on street trees including species, DBH, tree location and an indication of existing multi-stem trees. Methods included standard forest inventory analysis however in this case the protocol was adjusted to and urban setting.
Objectives
Quantify carbon storage and sequestration of public trees in Northampton Massachusetts. By developing an inventory of tree abundance, species and size in this urban setting an analysis can be run on the growths potential for carbon sequestration and storage.
