Dataset Overview
This file contains the final scores, and final indicator scores, for the Vulnerable Vermonters Index aggregated by town. In addition, the file contains the classifications for 'Vulnerable Frontline Vermont Communities' in binary. The VVI is a representation of social vulnerability given inputs from at least one of four environmental justice screening tools: EPA EJScreen, White House CEQ Climate and Economic Justice Screening Tool, the Vermont Environmental Disparities Index, and VT ANR Municipal Climate Vulnerability Indicators List. These tools are publicly available. The tools reflect data between 2010 and 2020. The indicators in the VVI were selected based off of peer reviewed literature, principal components analysis, and a validation of an advisory board used in the study. The VVI shows data in mean, percentile and rank formats. Please view the 'IndexMethods1' file to see the individual scores for each indicator. There are no planned updated to this dataset.
