State Communications Day was held at the University of Vermont on May 9. Throughout the program, there were:
- singers and rhythmic gymnastics performers
- poetry and monologue reciters
- demonstrators of no-knead bread and homemade fly spray
- presenters of the history of swords and field stripping a chainsaw
- many more youth who educated, entertained and interacted with the audience
For State Communications Day, 4-H'ers worked on public speaking, organization of ideas and self-confidence, all of which are essential life skills.
