For Research Opportunities: Related to biological anthropology, medical anthropology, and/or global health, take classes with professors who teach relevant courses. Look up faculty profiles at UVM and beyond to see what kinds of research faculty are doing. Contact faculty well before course registration period to see if they need any help in the coming semester and to explore whether you are a good match.
Psychforums Research Resource: The Department of Anthropology at the University of Vermont has established a partnership with the online support forum PsychForums – a mental health resource for online conversations and support around a variety of mental health conditions. This partnership allows UVM to recruit research participants through the forum. If you desire to use this resource, please reference this link for more information.
Graduate Education in Global Health
There are many different types of graduate degrees that have a focus on global health. These may include graduate programs centered around global health, international health, medical anthropology, tropical diseases, international health policy, international health management, or global health or international health law. In other cases, there are global health concentrations or tracks found within other graduate degree programs such as public health, epidemiology and biostatistics, international development, anthropology, environmental health sciences, or clinical professions. To explore some different types of programs at various universities, check out the Consortium of Universities for Global Health or the list compiled in this document (DOCX)
