"In this photo one can see a plate full of delicious looking (and tasting) cupcakes. These cupcakes of course required specific ingredients and steps, but they also required one more thing. Experience. This past summer I started a job at a bakery. Here I worked to prepare and package these baked goods, and serve any customers looking for a sweet treat. Through this experience I was able to acquire new skills and apply them to my own life. One of these skills was decorating cupcakes. Being around the bakers each day gave me time to watch and analyze what techniques used for each cake and cupcake. From this, I decided to use those skills in my own life, and created these cupcakes for a surprise party. I like this photo because it shows how a summer of hard work can turn out to teach you new skills you would never have thought you would gain."
