The Grossman School of Business is excited to bring back the Women in Finance Panel on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Keller room. This event is a great opportunity for all UVM students to hear from and connect with some of the best professionals in the finance industry.
The Women in Finance panel hosts experts from all facets of the financial world – from CEOs, presidents, and partners, to managers, lawyers and advisors. This year's event will feature three UVM alumni and industry experts from Champlain Investment Partners, including Angie M. Holbrook, CFA, partner - client service, Wendy K. Nunez, partner - senior advisor, and Maura R. Oliveri, senior associate - client services.
The panelists will share their experiences as UVM alums navigating the business world and their journey of creating and operating one of Vermont’s premier assets management firms. Champlain Investment Partners is an independent, employee-owned firm headquartered in Burlington since 2004 and averages more than 24 years in asset management experience with approximately $17.15 billion in assets under management.
MEET THE PANELISTS
Angie M. Holbrook, CFA, 95’ – Partner – Client Service

Angie brings over 25 years of experience to her role in client service and consultant relations and is a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. Angie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and her Master of Business Administration degree from Boston College. She earned her Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation in 2006, is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Vermont, and is a Registered Representative with Foreside Fund Services, LLC. Angie currently serves on the Board of Directors’ Investment Committee for the United Way of Northwest Vermont.
Wendy K. Nunez 85’– Partner – Senior Advisor

Wendy brings over 35 years of financial services experience to her role providing guidance on Champlain’s policies and operational issues, human capital and development, compensation, as well as mentoring members of the firm’s leadership; she is also a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. She is a founding partner of the firm and previously served as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer (2009 – 2018) and Chief Operating Officer (2015 – 2021). Wendy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Vermont and earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Boston University. Wendy currently serves on the Board of Directors for the University of Vermont’s Grossman School of Business, Green Mountain Adaptive Sports, and the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps.
Maura R. Oliveri 19’ – Senior Associate – Client Service

Maura brings six years of industry experience to her role on the client service team. Prior to joining Champlain in 2019, Maura spent two years at DDJ Capital Management as an associate on the business development and client service team. Maura graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a minor in Business Administration and earned her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Vermont’s one-year Sustainable Innovation MBA program.
