Carly Swanberg is an experienced customer care executive with over 15 years of expertise leading global operations and driving business strategy in the technology sector. As Vice President and Head of Global Customer Care at Yahoo, she oversees customer experience across multiple brands and plays a pivotal role in managing the company’s subscription services and overall business growth. Previously, Carly held leadership roles at Verizon Media, where she directed customer care and subscriptions for the AOL brand, significantly improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. She is passionate about leveraging technology to reimagine customer care, building empowered teams, and creating experiences that differentiate at scale.

Jason Meyersburg

Jason Meyersburg

Jason Meyersburg is a customer and digital strategist with more than 20 years of experience advising organizations from the Fortune 100 to disruptive startups. After earning a BS from the Grossman School with a concentration in Marketing, he began his career at Accenture, focusing on customer experience and distribution strategy for leading North American financial services firms. He later led the Customer Strategy practice for Slalom New England, helping clients across industries shape customer experience strategies, drive digital transformation, and build disruptive marketing, sales, and service capabilities.

Jason lives in Shelburne with his wife, two boys, and dog. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, boating, skiing, and exploring all that Vermont has to offer.

 

Jim Tessmer

Jim Tessmer

Jim Tessmer is the Head of Digital Product Strategy at Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) located in Boston Massachusetts. Founded in 1818 by George and John Brown, BBH is America’s oldest private investment bank and provides advisory, capital and investment services to private businesses and their owners, wealthy families, asset managers and financial institutions. Jim leads a global team of product owners, analysts, UX designers and technologists discovering, designing and delivering BBH’s most differentiating digital solutions.

Jim’s 33 year professional career spans operational, technical, product and consulting roles including Department Head for Global Product and Platform Solutions at State Street, Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting and Director of Digital Consulting at Genpact. While the majority of Jim’s career has been in the Financial Services sector, Jim also has experience in Healthcare and Public Sector industries.

Jim holds a BS in business from Skidmore College and a MS in Information Systems from Boston University. Jim is the proud parent of William Tessmer (UVM GSB ‘24 ) and Anna Tessmer (UVM CALS ‘27)

Ethan Bechtel

Ethan is the co-founder and CEO of OhMD, the company putting an end to hold time in healthcare. After graduating from UVM's School of Business, he helped bring healthcare into the digital era through early work on electronic health records.

At OhMD, he leads a team building AI-powered communication tools that handle routine patient communication so care teams can focus on the human conversations that matter most. 

His mission is to make healthcare better for everyone - one conversation at a time.
