Microplastics Cleanup at Plattsburgh City Beach

Date/Time:
Saturday, August 30, 2025 - 10:00am to 12:00pm
Location:
Plattsburgh City Beach

August 30 is National Beach Day! Celebrate your appreciation for clean beaches by joining Lake Champlain Sea Grant's microplastics cleanup at Plattsburgh City Beach.

Microplastics are small pieces of plastic, 5 millimeters in size at the most! They come in many shapes and forms. Importantly, they can be harmful to wildlife and humans, and pollute our shorelines!

To participate in the cleanup, please fill out and submit this form. Registration in advance is required. Space is limited because of equipment availability. Once you have submitted the form, you will receive an email from Aude Lochet (aloch001 [at] plattsburgh.edu) to confirm your registration or let you know if you are on a waitlist.
