Clean Boating Signs and Educational Materials

Lake Champlain Sea Grant has partnered with the Vermont Boat and Marine Association to provide COVID-19 safety guidance for marinas and boaters.

In partnership with the Great Lakes Clean Marina Network, Lake Champlain Sea Grant has developed a variety of signs and educational materials that marinas can post or share with patrons to help ensure the water in lakes within the Lake Champlain basin stays clean. All materials are available to marinas free of charge.

The signs, which are 24-inches by 18-inches in size, encourage people to take actions to keep fuel out of the water and to keep the lake free of debris and other pollutants, such as oil and antifreeze that may leak from boats. Available educational materials vary from year to year. Marinas interested in obtaining signs or educational materials may contact kstepenu [at] uvm.edu (subject: Clean%20Boating%20Signs) (Kris Stepenuck).
