A mid-summer Human Subjects Research System Update

  • RPO Analysts are in training and preparing to become the resident UVMClick – IRB experts who will assist campus users.
  • Our UVMClick Project Team conducted its first couple of demonstrations with research coordinators from the Lung Center, OCTR and the Cancer Center.
  • Additional demos have been scheduled targeting our busiest IRB researchers.
  • A campus wide demo has been scheduled for July 31, 1-3pm, Davis Center, Room 403 (opens in a new window).
  • Formal Instructional Guides and FAQs are being created and will be posted to UVMClick - Toolkits and FAQs (opens in a new window).

Human Subjects Training

  • We have successfully transferred the majority of individual’s training certifications from CITI into UVMClick.
  • We are not able to transfer certifications from the older training database called Limesurvey.
We encourage investigators to complete the Human Subjects Training (opens in a new window) in the new CITI platform prior to September 1, 2018. This will allow your certification to be captured easily within UVMClick.

Approved Protocols have been Converted (transferred) from InfoEd to UVMClick

We have successfully tested the transfer of all approved protocols with the majority of data required by UVMClick completed, but not all. All converted protocols will be missing required data and attachments.

What this means. When you take your first action on a converted protocol in UVMClick, Step 1 will be to initiate a “Conversion” Modification. The conversion modification allows you to accomplish 2 tasks that will complete the converted record to UVMClick standards,
1) complete the missing required data fields in the UVMClick protocol SMART form and
2) attach all the currently approved protocol documents in the applicable areas within the SMART form.
RPO will release a “Quick Guide” to assist you with preparing the Conversion Modification.

What is Not Transferring from InfoEd to UVMClick

  1. New protocols residing in InfoEd that have a “pending” status.
  2. Individual submissions, (e.g. amendments, key personnel, continuing review) residing in InfoEd that have a “pending” status.

The goal is to have as many new protocols and individual submissions in an approved state as possible to allow transfer into UVMClick. For those new protocols and individual submissions that are not transferred into UVMClick, the PI or PI proxy will need to resubmit through UVMClick.
