About Catherine Hamilton
Catherine has three decades of experience working in healthcare management in public and non-profit organizations. She leads consumer services and strategic planning at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont a not-for-profit plan. She has also worked as a regulator of health plans in New York City and holds a Ph.D. from New York University in health management, policy, and health services research. Catherine is an advocate for health and wellness, a better consumer experience in health care, and addressing root causes of health care outcomes.
Articles & Publications
In June of 2021, Catherine presented “A Case Study for Accountable Communities or Health” at the RISE Summit on Social Determinants of Health. In July, she Presented at the World Congress in Health Care on consumer experiences in today’s healthcare marketplace.

Catherine is chair of the THRIVE Community for Health in Central Vermont. THRIVE’s mission is to optimize the health and well-being of our community through informed, collaborative, and innovative solutions.
Catherine is also the Chair of The Vermont Caring Foundation for Children, a not-for-profit,
Vermont-based foundation dedicated to advancing and improving the health of all Vermonters, particularly children.
