Most of our successful candidates incorporate growth years into their path to medical school. They attend a wide range of allopathic (MD) medical schools and several UVM graduates are currently enrolled in osteopathic (DO) medical school. Approximately 1-2 applicants enroll in MD/PhD programs each year (which generally require 8 years to complete). A few alums have entered other combined programs, including MD/MPH, MD/MBA, and MD/MEng.

Approximately 5 - 10 UVM students/alums apply to dental school each year.  Over the last five years, the overall acceptance rate is 70%. For first time UVM applicants who have not attended a pre-dental post-baccalaureate program, the average GPA of accepted candidates is 3.68. DAT scores for successful UVM applicants range from 18 – 29, with a mean of 23.
