Businesses often run across technical or scientific problems they have trouble addressing. Contact us with a description of your problem and we will identify one or more faculty members who have great depth and experience in that area. If the timing and area of expertise are appropriate, and the faculty member is interested, they will make themselves available for an initial consultation. We have had great success with this new service.

Our Industry Fellowship Program seeks to address the needs of businesses by partnering them with the expertise of UVM faculty members and graduate students or postdoctoral research associates. The faculty member and the commercial partner co-fund a portion of a doctoral-level graduate student or postdoctoral research associate. This individual then works on a project specific to the industry partner's needs under the guidance of the faculty member.

UVM's Sponsored Project Administration (SPA) is a full-service research administration and compliance office that can help you navigate the life cycle of a grant. SPA provides institutional approval for all proposal submissions, accepts awards on behalf of UVM, and facilitates award administration.
