The Laboratory for Clinical Biochemistry Research (LCBR) focuses on uncovering molecular risk factors and pathways involved in the development and progression of diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, lung disease, stroke, venous thromboembolism, dementia, and other age-related chronic conditions.

Since 1986, LCBR researchers have been dedicated to understanding chronic diseases of aging through scientific rigor, cutting edge methodologies, and state-of-the-art technologies.

Areas of Focus

Our overarching research goal is to better understand the pathobiology of disease such as cardiovascular, dementias, and aging through biomarker research across time and disease progression in large well-characterized populations.
