The McClure Musculoskeletal Research Center at the Larner College of Medicine's Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation offers research opportunities in collaboration with various departments.

These include Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical and Biomedical Engineering.

State-of-the-Art Equipment

Body

The center features a state-of-the-art biplanar dual fluoroscopy motion analysis lab. This lab includes a ten-camera Vicon system for analyzing human joint motion.

Additionally, it has equipment such as computerized isokinetic dynamometers, isometric strength testers, force plates, EMG devices, instrumented knee arthrometers, and diagnostic ultrasound.

The center also has a radiography lab with portable X-ray machines and a C-arm fluoroscope.

Furthermore, there is an assay lab equipped for biochemical assays, immunohistochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, MRI, and gait image post-processing.
