By enrolling in the UVM Larner College of Medicine's highly-ranked online Public Health program, you will develop the skills to critically examine how housing, social factors, health policy, and environmental conditions influence population health. The program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach that integrates public policy, research, and population health sciences to inform effective public health interventions grounded in the experiences of different communities. Program Credits and Information

Our 42-credit online Master of Public Health (MPH) program integrates public policy, research, and population health sciences to provide a comprehensive understanding of the public health landscape. Students may choose between a Generalist MPH or an MPH with a Concentration in Global Health Leadership. Graduates will be well-versed in public health policy, enabling them to contribute effectively across diverse sectors such as Behavioral Sciences, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, and Health Services Administration.

Students in the Generalist MPH program will complete 9 credits in three elective courses, allowing customization based on their interests. Those pursuing the Global Health Leadership Concentration will also complete 9 credits in three specialized courses, equipping them with analytical and practical skills relevant to this rapidly evolving field.

Full-time students can complete the program in as few as 15 months, with a maximum duration of up to five years. Students commencing the program in the summer session can complete all requirements in four semesters.
