Honored Faculty

In addition to our student inductees, our chapter would like to honor faculty members who have contributed enormously to the success of the public health program. Our 2025 Delta Omega faculty inductees are: Dr. Jan Carney and Dr. Shamima Khan.

Our faculty and sponsor inductees

Patsy Kelso, PhD

Each year, the Omicron Epsilon chapter honors an individual who significantly contributes to public health with an honorary induction into Delta Omega. This year we honor State Epidemiologist Patsy Kelso, PhD for her contributions to the community and our program.

Jan K. Carney, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Carney is the Director of the Graduate Public Health program and a Professor of Medicine at the UVM. A champion of public health for the duration of her career, Dr. Carney is a key figure in several public health endeavors. Her leadership is an inspiration to us all!

Shamima Khan, MBS, PhD

Active in teaching and research, Dr. Khan teaches one of the foundations of public health, biostatistics. She endeavors to engage students in her research whenever possible giving them insight into real life public health issues. We applaud her contributions to the public health program.
