New Employee Onboarding

Whether it's day one or one hundred, UVM is dedicated to ensuring new employees can find the information and connections they need to get their bearings and settle into their new community. Find what you need to get started at UVM.

Before your first day

Please complete the following tasks prior to attending your orientation session.

  • Print out your first day parking permit
  • Set up your UVM NetID
  • Install and activate the DUO Security app on your mobile device
  • Review the benefits information in your Welcome Letter
  • If you are relocating to Vermont, take a look at our Relocating to Vermont resource guide (PDF). If you're exploring housing options, Catamount Run Apartments offer a unique, exclusive housing opportunity for UVM faculty and staff. Developed in partnership with the university, this brand-new community is ideally located in the heart of South Burlington’s City Center, just one mile from campus. Residents enjoy modern studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans, along with convenient access to dining, shopping, and everyday essentials. UVM employees also receive complimentary public transportation through Green Mountain Transit, making commuting to and from campus simple and stress free.
