Get Support for Your Recovery at UVM
Services and Programming
The Catamount recovery program offer a variety of services to support your experience at UVM as a student in recovery. If you want to learn more or participate in any of the following opportunities contact Rae Kosac: recovery@uvm.edu.
On-Campus Recovery Housing
There are recovery housing options on campus. These options range from getting a single to being a member of The Catamount Recovery Program house on Trinity Campus. Interested students are required to meet with Rae Kosac for a screening.
Priority Registration
Students involved with the Catamount Recovery Program can receive an approved accommodation through Student Accessibility Services (SAS), so they can have access to registration 30 minutes early.
Collaboration with Student Accessibility Services (SAS)
Students in recovery have access to SAS to apply for an accommodation to support them in their academic pursuits. Rae Kosac can help coordinate students' connection to SAS to get the support they need to be successful during their time at UVM.
Exploring Development through Community Group
HDF 031 is a 1-credit course led by a licensed drug and alcohol counselor. The class is focused on problem solving through community while also helping to strengthen the connection between students on their recovery journeys. Therapeutic Recovery Group
A drug and alcohol counselor will facilitate a weekly therapeutic group which supports students as they navigate their life in recovery.
Connection to Community Supports
UVM has created relationships with community organizations to support students in recovery through meetings, events, individual supports, and resources. To express interest in connecting with Off-Campus Community Supports contact Rae Kosac recovery@uvm.edu. You do not have to be a member of the Catamount Recovery Program to get help connecting to community supports.
