Our Sincere Commitment to Prevention, Safety, and Support

Sexual assault, harassment, discrimination and all forms of sexual and gender-based misconduct have no place at the University of Vermont.  In accordance to Our Common Ground values, as an institution, we are committed to creating a healthy and safe campus for all. It’s up to each of us to support those who share their stories and participate in prevention efforts across campus and within our communities. This page provides tools and resources that can help us ensure a safe and respectful campus community. It is important for us all to be aware of the resources and options that are available. This work, and our strategies and assets, are constantly evolving. As such, new information and resources will be added on an ongoing basis.

There are a number of entities on campus that work diligently to prevent and address sexual misconduct when it does occur, including the Office of Equal Opportunity (EO), the Center for Health and Wellbeing, University Police Services, and the Vice Provost and Dean of Students Office. Together, these professionals work collaboratively to support community members as well as educate our community about these issues.
