Liz Kenton helps Vermont youth build life and job skills through programs, resources, outreach, educational events, and professional development that focus on workforce development and agricultural safety. She coordinates the Center's business development program for young farmers age 14-21, the Youth Agricultural Individual Development Account program, a collaboration between the Center and Vermont 4-H.
Liz received her undergraduate degree in Environmental and Science Communication from Eastern Connecticut State University and worked as an environmental educator, a GIS mapping technician, a Peace Corps Volunteer for AgroForestry in Mauritania, West Africa, and on small diversified organic farms in Connecticut and Vermont. She earned a Masters in Sustainable Development from World Learning’s School for International Training.
She is an advisory member of the Farm to Plate Education & Workforce Development working group, Vermont Performance Lab, Food Connects (board secretary), the Vermont Farm to School Network’s Coordination Community of Practice, and the Vermont Farm Health and Safety Coalition.
