Sophie Greene

Sophie came to UVM in 2014. Sophie is a master’s student who studies how beryllium isotopes can be used to quantify millennial scale erosion rates in watersheds. She focuses on 9Be, the only stable isotope of Be, and the ways that it can be analyzed in conjunction with the cosmogenic isotope 10Be to further understand Be dynamics in fluvial systems. Sophie graduated from Carleton College in 2014 and began working in the Cosmo Lab the following fall.
