Shelburne Community School Girls on the Run Coaches Needed
Girls on the Run is an afterschool spring program for girls in 3rd-5th grade that encourages girls to recognize their individual strengths and celebrate connections with others. Our team will explore themes like healthy relationships, positive self-talk and managing emotions through fun and interactive lessons. Physical activity is woven into each session as a way for girls to experience goal setting and achievement. The season culminates with the Girls on the Run 5k, a celebratory event that reinforces that big things are possible when you keep moving forward! The season is 10 weeks and kicks off mid-March. Teams meet twice weekly, after school, for 90 minutes per session. Coaches may identify as any gender and definitely do NOT have to identify as runners! GOTRVT provides comprehensive coach training, a curriculum that maps out each session, all team supplies and support throughout the season. Learn more >>

TRIO Upward Bound Summer Internships

UVM's TRIO Upward Bound is hiring six paid summer interns. TRIO Upward Bound (UB) is a federally-funded college access program for limited-income high school students who would be the first generation in their families to attend college. Our goal is to support students throughout their time in high school, preparing them to apply to college and be successful once they arrive there. From June 15 – July 24 we will run a six-week, non-residential summer program (UB Summer College) on the UVM campus for up to 50 local high school students. Summer staff are also expected to attend Orientation/Training from June 8–12. Learn more >>

Materials will be provided ahead of time but no experience or preparation is necessary to participate. Attend one session or both. Mar. 24 and Apr. 13, 12-1 p.m. in 107 Rowell Bldg. Register now >>
