Peggy O’Neill-Vivanco is the director of the Vermont Clean Cities and Communities Coalition. As the VTCCC Coordinator, Peggy serves as a connection between private and municipal fleets and providers of advanced technology and vehicles.
Since Clean Cities coalitions are fuel and brand neutral, Peggy is known as an honest broker of information for stakeholders and helps vehicle fleets throughout Vermont recognize the fuel and cost savings, as well as the emissions reductions, of alternative transportation fuels and technologies. Peggy’s work encourages the state’s private and public fleets to set and achieve sustainability goals.
Prior to joining the TRC, Peggy worked in international education for 20 years, in the U.S. and Latin America, teaching Latin American Studies at SUNY Plattsburgh and Spanish at the high school level. She holds a M.A. in Latin American Studies from New York University. Peggy is a year-round bike commuter and advocate for safe bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure for all users.
