This weekend, seven UVM students visited Gordon College to perform in the esteemed New England Intercollegiate Band: A.J. Banach, '18, trumpet; Colleen Walsh, '19, percussion; Mei Endo, '17, trombone; Julia Maisto, '17, oboe; Lauren Rayson, '18, horn; Emmett Caruso, '16, saxophone; and Ryan Wolbach, '17 clarinet.

The New England Intercollegiate Band is an honors ensemble chosen by audition from the colleges and universities throughout New England. Since 1982 the New England College Band Association has sponsored a concert by this musical organization. Students are eligible for the ensemble regardless of major and have had the privilege of rehearsing and performing with internationally known wind band conductors. This year’s conductor was Allan McMurray, Professor of Music and Director of Bands at the University of Colorado-Boulder.
