Each spring, we honor outstanding students for their achievements in music and dance. Congratulations to this year's winners!

The Rowell Outstanding Senior in Music Award is given to a graduating senior who has made an outstanding contribution to the musical life of the department. This year’s award goes to McKenzie Brandon.

The Lyman S. Rowell Award for Academic Achievement in Music is given to the graduating senior in Music or Music Education with the highest G.P.A. in music courses. This year’s winner is Victoria King.

The Yandell Prize is given to the student who, in the opinion of the faculty, has shown the most improvement over their time at UVM. This year’s award goes to Chloe Gallant.

The Pappoutsakis Award is given to a graduating senior that has shown excellence in conducting/directing. This year’s recipient is Helen Driesen.

The Thomas L. Read Award in Composition is given for outstanding achievement in music composition. This year’s award goes to Elijah Taylor.

The Outstanding Music Minor is given to students who have made a strong contribution to the musical life of the department as a music minor. This year’s awards go to Olivia Vaughn, Josiah Witt, and Jiangyong Yu.

The Outstanding Senior in Dance Award is given to a graduating senior who has made an outstanding contribution to dance at UVM. This year’s winner is Blair Bean.

The Outstanding Choreography and/or Performance Dance Awards are given to students for their outstanding achievement in choreography and/or performance to dance at UVM. This year’s winners are Anna Gibson and Meghan McClure.
