I was lucky enough to get to spend a whole semester in Auckland, New Zealand! I spent so much time learning about the country and traveling around as much of it as I could. This picture is me in Milford Sound on the south island over our spring break! New Zealand is one of my favorite places I’ve ever been, and I can’t wait to go back someday soon.

Olivia Marie Britton, Class of 2027

Body
A smiling person standing in a leafy forest, wearing a vest and backpack, holds up a manila envelope labeled “Frogs data” beside a tree.

I studied abroad with the School for Field Studies at the Center for Tropical Island Biodiversity Studies in Bocas del Toro, Panamá. One highlight of the program was my directed research course, where I studied the habitat usage and body condition of strawberry poison dart frogs across different land-use types. Conducting field research in one of the most biodiverse places in the world is something I will never forget. I built skills in proposal writing and data analysis that prepared me for my Honors Thesis and future academic endeavors. It was an incredible experience all around, and I am so grateful for all I learned!
