The ethnobotany internship varies each year, allowing students to participate in a unique faculty-guided project that engages with the field of ethnobotany. The aim is to provide an enriching educational experience outside of a traditional research-focused setting.

Native plant interns help support UVM’s Native Plant Initiative by sourcing locally adapted, ecotypic seed for native plant production with UVM’s Greenhouse. Interns gain valuable experience with real-world, civic applications of nature-based solutions and transferable skills.

The herbarium internship provides students with a unique opportunity to develop and complete individual projects that are centered on sets of specimens collected from around the world.

This internship in alpine ecology will provide an immersive, hands-on experience in working in biodiversity conservation and science outreach, focused on the unique high-elevation communities of plants that occur on the highest peaks in the Northeastern US.
