As part of an Earth Day celebration at Main Street Landing in Burlington, Vermont, the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics is sponsoring a screening of One Day on Earth. April 22nd is the worldwide premiere of this new documentary, edited from film shot in every country on earth on 10-10-10. More than 19,000 filmmakers, both professional and novice, contributed 3,000 hours of footage. The film links how crises confronting the world – from the water shortage to poverty – connects us all.
The Main Street Landing event will screen films from 12 to 9 pm in celebration of the planet, including episodes from the award-winning BBC documentary “Planet Earth” and the film “Dirt! The Movie”. A “Take Action for the Planet! Jamboree” will take place in the Lake Lobby throughout the day with kiosks from Vermont-based environmental organizations.
