Medical Laboratory and Radiation Sciences Clinical Opportunities
Process and Placement
Placements for the fourth year, one semester internships in the three MLRS majors are made based on the following factors: site availability, student site selections, and program director experience regarding the specific affiliate attributes. No one factor dictates how placements are made. In some cases placements must resort to a lottery system. Every attempt is made to place students in one of their preferred locations but no guarantees can be made for any specific site. All affiliates are qualified to give our students an excellent experiential semester.
- Some clinical sites may require students to complete a background check in order to participate in the clinical internship.
- Some clinical sites may require drug screening prior to the initiation of the clinical internship.
- Students are responsible for any housing and transport costs associated with clinical internships.
