Run by Student Life Outdoor Programs, the Outdoor Programs Catamount Campout is an action packed opportunity to make friends, develop skills and learn everything you need to know to recreate in the outdoors in Vermont. Outdoor Programs professionally trained student trip leaders will teach outdoor technical skills, in addition to the leadership, communication and group management concepts anyone should know before heading out with a group of friends on a camping trip. Dates & Times:

• Info Session: 9/4/25 at 6:30pm in Livak Ballroom (Davis Center)
• Registration Opens: 9/4/25
• Deposit Due ($30): 9/15/25
• Full Payment Due ($130): 9/19/25

This program includes multiple educational sessions prior to the campout itself. Participants should plan to attend on the following dates:

• Tuesdays (9/30/25 & 10/7/25): 5pm-8pm
• Thursdays (10/2/25 & 10/9/25): 4:30pm-8:30pm
• Campout Trip: 10/10/25-10/12/25

Cost: 

$130 is the all-inclusive fee. It covers all equipment, including group gear and any personal outdoor gear rented from Basecamp, as well as all food from dinner on Friday – lunch on Sunday, and all transportation and camping fees.

Some financial assistance in the form of a fee reduction may be available upon request. We have a very limited ability to reduce fees for folks who truly cannot afford the trip. Please only request a fee reduction if you need it. You will be able to do so on the payment page of the registration form
