Start with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA is used to apply for federal student aid, including grants, loans, and work-study funds. At UVM, it is also used to determine your eligibility for need-based institutional need-based grant, scholarship, and loan aid.

File when you apply to UVM. While there is no specific deadline for the spring semester, we recommend that you submit your FAFSA for the current year as soon as you apply to UVM.

Fall Undergraduate First-Year Applicants (Early Action, Early Decision, & Regular Notification)

Deadline:
File as soon as possible once the FAFSA is available in December. We recommend completing your FAFSA for the upcoming year as early as possible in order to receive an on-time aid offer and to ensure consideration for all available sources of financial aid.

Fall Undergraduate Transfer Applicants
