Dear UVM Faculty and Staff,
We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable break. We monitor changing conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic daily and adjust health and safety protocols as appropriate, informed by input from campus, local, state, and federal officials. Earlier today we provided several important updates and reminders to students and families regarding required day 0 testing, vaccination and booster requirements, and an additional required COVID-19 test on day 5, 6, or 7. One central point of our message to them, and now to you, is to increase the amount of testing so that each member of our community can act promptly if they receive a positive test result.
As we continue regular operations this week following the break and begin in-person classes on January 18, we want to strongly encourage you to get a COVID-19 test at the Testing Center in the Davis Center. We have expanded testing capacity and added additional testing days. Please schedule your test using the CoVerified App.
We also are making free symptomatic testing available to employees through Student Health Services at Jeanne Mance. Contact Student Health Services at (802) 656-3350; they will schedule an appointment for you for testing. Do not proceed to the Davis Center location if you are symptomatic.
Reminder, if you have not submitted your vaccine information, the deadline is today. It is simple and easy. When you are eligible, we also strongly encourage you to get a booster. The CDC recently announced people are now eligible (Pfizer only) 5 months after completing the two-dose vaccines.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment. These are challenging times, but together we will sustain the success UVM has experienced since the start of the pandemic.
