As announced in early March, the university is conducting an internal search for the next Dean of the Graduate College and Postdoctoral Studies. The search is actively underway.

The posting for the Dean of the Graduate College and Postdoctoral Studies is now live on uvmjobs.com. This search is limited to candidates currently affiliated with UVM who hold the rank of full Professor with tenure.

This is a critical leadership opportunity at a pivotal moment for graduate education and research at UVM. The new dean of the Graduate College and Postdoctoral Studies will set the vision and mission for graduate studies and enhance the competitiveness of UVM’s graduate education. In partnership with the Graduate College Executive Committee, Graduate faculty, and senior College and School leadership, the dean will have the opportunity to strengthen and support the growth of graduate programs (including doctoral, professional, and online programs) and expand post-doctoral opportunities.

The search committee aims to field a strong and diverse pool of individuals who can bring vision, credibility, and collaborative leadership to this role. We encourage qualified and motivated candidates to apply, and we urge you to encourage colleagues who you think may be strong candidates to consider the opportunity.
