Dear Students,

The end of the semester is a busy time, and recent world and local events have impacted all of us. I appreciate the care and concern students have shown for one another.

If you need support—and it’s never too late to seek help—don’t hesitate to reach out to the many campus services committed to your success, including the Center for Academic Success, your academic advisor, your Dean’s Office, our identity centers, Living Well, and the Center for Health and Wellbeing. If you are living on campus, the Learning Community and Residential Life teams are there to help, and the Office of Student and Community Relations can provide resources and support related to off-campus living.

I hope you are looking forward to a productive and engaging spring semester. Over the break, consider how you want to craft your Catamount Experience. You might consider participating in research experiences, fellowships, study abroad, internships, travel study courses, our innovation maker spaces, entrepreneurial pitch competitions, undergraduate and graduate student clubs, career interest groups, and more. Take this opportunity to think about the ways you want to fully engage in your intellectual pursuits next semester and beyond.

Please continue to take good care of yourself and your fellow Catamounts as finals approach.

I wish you the best with your exams, projects, and presentations, and I hope you have a restful, restorative, and fun winter break with family and friends.

With pride for all you have accomplished thus far,

Provost Patty Prelock
