Dear students,
As finals begin, I want to recognize that exam week can be stressful. I know you have heard this many times, but please do take care of your physical and mental health, while at the same time finding a way to focus on finishing final papers, projects, and exam preparation. Remember that there are many resources on campus to support you (including your dean’s office, the Center for Academic Success, and the Center for Health and Wellbeing); do not hesitate to use them.
For our returning students, I wish you a relaxing and productive summer with family and friends where you take time to have some fun! I also encourage you to continue crafting your Catamount Experience. Summer is a great time to think about how you will take advantage of the many academic and co-curricular opportunities that will create a university experience that is uniquely yours and reflects the passion and curiosity that will prepare you for life after UVM.
For our graduates, I wish you all the best as your next chapter begins. I love Commencement and look forward to seeing you there! And as you leave UVM, know that you are forever part of the Catamount family. I hope you will find a way to stay connected to UVM. I look forward to celebrating your accomplishments at Commencement!
Sincerely,
Acting Provost Linda Schadler
