The Food Systems Research Station (FSRS) is a collaborative research partnership between the University of Vermont Food Systems Research Institute (FSRI) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service (USDA ARS).
The Food Systems Research Station serves as a shared resource for USDA ARS scientists and UVM researchers conducting collaborative studies on food crops, forage systems, and grazing livestock. By supporting long-term, applied research, the station advances understanding of complex food system challenges and generates practical, science-based insights that benefit farmers and agricultural communities across the Northeast. The station is located on approximately 400 acres in Charlotte, Vermont, leased from Nordic Farm.
