The University of Vermont Division of Neurological Surgery is rooted in national excellence and innovation. Founded by Dr. Raymond M.P. “Pete” Donaghy, who performed the first U.S. extracranial-to-intracranial bypass, it continues a legacy of leadership, discovery, and forward-looking care.
Springboard for Future Leaders in Neurosurgery
In our Division, medical students and neurosurgery residents gain up-to-date knowledge and critical thinking skills, engage in research, and provide hands-on care for patients with brain and spinal diseases. With a fully accredited Residency Program, we launch future leaders in the field.
