Education

Faculty members in the Department of Radiology contribute to the education of medical students and maintain a four-year residency program for diagnostic radiology.

The Larner College of Medicine requires three study levels for the Doctor of Medicine degree, with a curriculum shaped by student and faculty feedback to train exceptional practitioners. Fourth-year students can take a one-month radiology elective, applying their anatomy and disease knowledge to imaging for patient care. They can choose from ten subspecialties, including interventional radiology, and have the option to arrange a research elective. The program includes clinical work and daily didactic conferences.
