Graduate Education in the Biomedical Sciences
The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont is among the top quarter of all medical schools nationally in obtaining extramural research support per capita, providing a rich training environment for our graduate students in the biomedical sciences, with an emphasis on active participation in cutting edge research. Along with the financial resources and core facilities of a major research university, graduate students in the biomedical sciences here at UVM will find a close-knit and collaborative community with which to develop their scientific and professional skills.
Our four doctoral and three masters programs break through traditional scientific boundaries to better prepare students for the diverse scientific landscape of today and the future. Students have the opportunity to train with any one of a number of internationally-recognized faculty members from within the Larner College of Medicine in both basic science and clinical departments.
