R Scholar Program The Office for Research and Engagement's R Scholars Program supports faculty in developing and submitting NIH R series or equivalent grants. Goals Goals Body Provide career development training in grant writing and proposal developmentImprove faculty knowledge of the review process and NIH systemProduce high quality R-series or non-federal equivalent grant submissionsIncrease funding success rates for R series grants across Larner Timeline Timeline Body Approximately a 10-week program starting 16 weeks prior to standard NIH deadlinesDeadlines throughout the program for completion of rough drafts of key grant sections and full draft approximately 6 weeks prior to submissionOffered 2 times/year for February/March and June/July NIH submission deadlines, with 1-on-1 support from Program Directors for October/November deadlines Format Format Body Six (6) 1-hour sessions addressing key grant components, with each focused on improving the quality of grant submissionsDirect and detailed feedback on all key sections of the grant by Program DirectorsFunds for review of the application by an external expert prior to submission (must meet required deadlines to qualify) Sign Up Now!
