Education

Students interested in joining established research programs centered around cardiovascular physiology, structure/function studies of proteins and macromolecular complexes will find a collaborative, stimulating environment in which to pursue their interests and education.

Research

Departmental research focuses on protein structure and function with emphasis on cell/molecular biology, single molecule biophysics, muscle mechanics, and proteomics to study the cytoskeleton and molecular motors in development and disease.
