Public Health Students Selected to Present Posters at APHA and Delta Omega
The UVM Department of Public Health is proud to recognize the Culminating Project Experience student groups who will be presenting their posters this fall at the American Public Health Association (APHA) Conference in November 2025 and the Delta Omega Public Health Exposition.
APHA accepted the work of three student groups: Cancer and Mental Health: Rural vs. Urban (S. Piffard, K. Sinz, I. Fluette, J. Brookman, J. Botelho), Physical Activity is Associated with Mental Health in High School-Aged Vermont Students (M. O’Connor, A. Matunas, K. Gadoury, J. Oviedo, C. Noyes), and Comparing the Impact of Adolescent Dating Violence and Bullying on Anxiety Among LGBTQ+ and Heterosexual-Cisgender Adolescents in Vermont (M. Colton, K. Boisvert, K. Williams, C. VanWinkle-Orzell, R. Brady. In addition, Cancer and Mental Health: Rural vs. Urban (S. Piffard, K. Sinz, I. Fluette, J. Brookman, J. Our students worked diligently to produce such outstanding work and are fortunate to receive guidance from outstanding public health faculty advisors. The department would also like to recognize the public health faculty mentors who mentored the students through the research process: Thomas Delaney, PhD, Elizabeth Woods, PhD, Erika Ziller, PhD, and Elzerie de Jager, MBBS, PhD.
